His efforts in the 800 meters paid off as he finished second in his heat with a time of 1:58.26, fast enough to qualify for tonight's finals. Martin led the pack through 600 meters despite being clipped from behind twice by trailing runners. Justin Fiske, from Yuba City, managed to pass Martin in the homestretch for the win.

DHS Frosh/Soph Mile Super Pack on 3-17-04 vs Armijo!
Monday Practices
Monday is the long day of the week. You should run for at least as long as the longest run you've done so far this season. If you are feeling good, you should add another 5-8 minutes to your previous maximum time. The pace is your choice, comfortable and fun. However, it is important that your run be continuous with no breaks in the middle. A quick stop at the water fountain is OK, but no more.
Running Logs
We have asked you to start keeping running logs. Please e-mail your previous week's logs and include mileage each day, any cross training you've done, and the total mileage for the week. Feel free to include any comments about your workouts.
Visit this page often for practice and meet information.
