Two wins, three school records at Stanford
The Davis High track and field team capped a successful trip to the Stanford Invitational with two individual victories and two other top five finishes. Brendan Gregg and Laurynne Chetelat ran to wins in the boys and girls 3000 meter races and established new school records in the process. Gregg finished in eight minutes, 30.38 seconds and Chetelat finished in nine minutes, 55.94 seconds. Both times, when converted to 3200 meters, are among the top ten best marks in California at this point in the season. Lauren Guerrieri continues to be among the best discus throwers in the state for high school girls. She placed second with a toss of 139 feet, 9 inches. Patrick Lynch finished fifth in the boys 3000 meter race with a time of 8 minutes, 45.57 seconds. Jonah Weeks, Maddie Hall, Chelsea Reilly, and Laurynne Chatelat teamed up for the girls distance medley relay. They finished in eighth place in a school record time of 12:36.99.
