Oakland Invitational Relays - Distance Events Edwards Field - UC Berkeley April 3, 2004 Ricky Martin led the way for DHS distance runners at the Oakland Invitational by taking 4th place in the 1600 meters in 4:23.61 and placing 12th in the 800 meters in 2:00.30, both lifetime bests. Jeremy Del Cid, Martin, Steve Buchanan, and Dustin Schelegle teamed up for a 7th place finish in the Distance Medley relay. All four runners recorded lifetime bests in their relay legs. Kaitlin Gregg had season bests in the 1600 and 800 meter races, while Veronica Miqueo recorded a lifetime best in the 1600 meters. Blue Devil runners compete next Friday and Saturday at the Arcadia Invitational in southern California.
