October 20, 2007 Mt. San Antonio College Walnut, CA Seventy-two members of the Davis High cross country team traveled to southern California last weekend to compete at the 60th annual Mt. SAC Invitational. Over 13,500 high school athletes competed in the two day event, which is considered the largest cross country meet in the world. This was the 23rd consecutive year that DHS has competed at Mt. SAC. Laurynne Chetelat's time of 17:15 was the fastest time ever for a DHS girl and the third fastest time of the meet. Jonah Weeks, Maddie Hall, and Nora Norvell ran fast enough to break into the top ten all time from Davis High. On the boys' side, Kenny Durell's time of 15:31 put him second on the DHS all time list. Freshman Trevor Halsted posted the fastest time ever run by a DHS freshman runner, finishing in 16:46. Dillon Shaw's time of 16:48 is now the seventh fastest time for a sophomore boy.
