October 19, 2005 Davis Community Park Davis cross country teams competed against Armijo on Wednesday in the final dual meet of the MEL season before next week's league championship meet. The girls varsity and boys frosh/soph teams both won easily and Armijo was unable to field complete teams in the boys varsity and girls frosh/soph races. Race winners were Emily Dimond (girls varsity), Brian Bartlett (boys varsity), Brita Burtis (girls frosh/soph), and Drew Petersen (boys frosh/soph). All Blue Devil teams enter the MEL championships in sole possession of first place in the season standings except the girls varsity team which is tied for first with Vacaville.
