Davis vs Vintage Alston Park - Napa, CA October 12, 2005 Davis High cross country traveled to Napa on Wednesday for an MEL dual meet against Vintage High School. Davis scored easy victories in all four divisions despite resting some top varsity runners and the disqualification of the top three finishers in the boy's varsity race. DHS runners Zach Bonner and Kyle Buchoff, along with Will Pittman of Vintage, took a wrong turn that resulted in a shortened course. However, the Blue Devil boys had enough depth to secure a 23-33 victory with Scott Halliday, Kenny Durell, and Matt Petersen officially taking the top three spots. The varsity girls were anchored by a great pack running effort from Rebecca Woo, Merek Kesser, Jenna Fritz, Jonah Weeks, and Maddie Hall as they took second through sixth places and a 20-35 victory. Emily Dimond and Tyler Wilken won the girls and boys frosh/soph races and both teams recorded perfect scores of 15 points.
