Davis High Cross Country sweeps four races against Napa High The Davis High cross country teams started the new MEL dual meet schedule off with a bang as they swept all four team competitions against Napa High School at Alston Park in Napa. The new schedule has a competition every Wednesday for the next six weeks. Davis looks to try to capture league titles while holding some runners out to stay fresh for traditional invitational meets on Saturdays. The frosh/soph boys, frosh/soph girls, and varsity girls all scored convincing wins. The varsity boys looked to be in trouble after the first mile, but pushed hard in the second half of the race to pull out a one point win over a surprisingly tough Napa squad. Kyle Buchoff (frosh/soph boys), Kaitlin Gregg (varsity girls), and Thad Sieracki (varsity boys) each had victories in their races. Chelsea Reilly led the frosh/soph girls with a second place finish. The Blue Devils next race is Saturday at the Cowchip Classic in Novato.
