Block D - Varsity Letter

Here is what it takes to earn one!

Athletes must complete the following:

Compete in a minimum of 4 regular Monticello Empire League meets at the varsity level (Wednesdays 9/14 through 10/19)

Compete in the Monticello Empire League Championships October 26 (frosh/soph or varsity)

Compete in the Sac-Joaquin Subsection Championships November 5 (frosh/soph, JV, or varsity)

Compete in the Sac-Joaquin Section Championships November 11 if qualified from Subsection (frosh/soph, JV, or varsity)

Compete in a minimum of 3 Invitational meets throughout the season (frosh/soph, JV, or varsity)

Have perfect attendance at practice (i.e. no unexcused absences)

Demonstrate a "Varsity Attitude" at all practices, competitions, and team functions

A "Varsity Attitude" means being hard working, supportive, encouraging, disciplined, honest, and respectful

Minimum requirements for competition may be waived if there are injuries or other extenuating circumstances
