Delta Valley Conference Championships October 27, 2007 Willow Hill at Folsom High School DHS wins four league titles! Davis High captured four league titles at the Delta Valley Conference championships on Saturday. The meet was held at the Sac-Joaquin Section championship course at Willow Hill in Folsom. The varsity girls scored a near perfect score of 16 points to capture the girls championship. The varsity boys defeated Kennedy High by a score of 35-48. Both frosh/soph teams scored a perfect 15 points in en route to winning their team titles. DHS runners took first place in each division (Laurynne Chetelat for varsity girls, Kenny Durell for varsity boys, Hilary Teaford for frosh/soph girls, and Trevor Halsted for frosh/soph boys). Athletes of the Meet: Jonathon Kelly - Jonathon stepped up and ran a great race as the number 4 varsity runner for DHS. The varsity boys were racing short handed and Jonathon filled the void magnificently! Dana Randall - Dana ran a great race, taking second place in the froh/soph girls race, her best effort of the season. She has been struggling with a nagging injury, but keeps working hard and never complains. Congratulations to Jonathon and Dana!
