California High School Track and Field has lost a great friend.
Doug Speck, the co-editor of
DyeStatCal, meet announcer, statistician, video pioneer,
and mentor to countless athletes, students, and coaches passed away on March 4th.
From me, Coach Bill, "Doug was always interested in how things were going for runners
at Davis High. He was always kind, gracious, and encouraging. I will miss him."
